That’s why Northern Irish Connections, in partnership with Queen’s University, Belfast and the Ulster University, are delighted to invite you to join us in celebrating the launch of the new Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI).

About HIRANI

The Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland (HIRANI) has been established to drive and support ambitious growth in the life and health sciences sector in Northern Ireland.  

HIRANI is an alliance of universities, health care providers and industry, which provides a single point of contact for access to resources and expertise in life and health sciences in Northern Ireland, enabling innovation, collaboration and connectivity across business, academia and health organisations.

The Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland is ready to innovate, to collaborate and to push the boundaries of health innovation with our partners in Northern Ireland and internationally.

About Life & Health Sciences in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland has a thriving life & health sciences sector offering expertise across a range of specialisms, including precision medicine, clinical trials and digital health. Northern Ireland also boasts clinical specialisms in the fields of oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, respiratory and diabetes.

The region is home to internationally renowned universities Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University. Queen’s is a member of the Russell Group of the UK’s leading research intensive universities and Ulster University is one of the top 5 universities in the UK for world-leading research in biomedical sciences.
