Overview
With almost 100 companies from indigenous SMEs to large international businesses, Northern Ireland has a growing aerospace, defence and security sector. However, there is also a real opportunity to build on its present capability in a range of areas such software engineering, data analytics, networks, financial software, connected health, sensors and cyber security, and custom made body armour solutions through direct engagement with defence sector primes. A strong collaborative approach may accelerate this growth and DTEP will facilitate this through collaboration and engagement with an “end-user”.
Why attend
At this event, delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, ADS and Invest NI, you will hear about the key technology challenges many prime defence companies face when delivering solutions to their clients who have increasing demands for new, complex and innovative solutions. Come and find out about the range of funding available for businesses and their collaborators. You will also have the opportunity to meet the defence primes on a 1-2-1 basis and to potentially create a partnership to tackle the challenges and bid for the funding under DTEP.
Delegates will have the opportunity to:
-
Understand the technology challenges of defence sector primes (both NI and GB-based)
-
Network with NI companies or organisations to facilitate consortium building
-
Meet defence sector primes on a 1-2-1 basis
